The British International School
Al Khobar (BISAK)
As Sadafah District,
The British International School Al Khobar (BISAK) is an educational community that provides diverse and challenging learning experiences. BISAK is a Preschool to Year 13 School that follows the English National curriculum and delivers IGCSE, GCSE and A-level examinations at the end of KS4 and KS5.
The school aims, through its British values in an international environment, to inspire everyone to be positive global citizens by reflecting upon equality, community service and peace. All are welcomed and valued as unique individuals.
BISAK was established in 1977 to provide British-style education to expat pupils living in and around Al Khobar. The school now provides education to the wider international community in Al Khobar within the British context. The brand new purpose-built school opened in September 2019, includes separate Preparatory and Senior schools, a sports hall, two library areas, performance hall, specialist art, Design Technology, and music rooms as well as five fully equipped Science laboratories and two Information Technology suites. There is a large size swimming pool and a four-lane athletics track. The new school is in a newly developed part of Khobar Town in what will become a quiet, sought-after residential area of Al Khobar.
The school provides a wide range of specialist subjects throughout the EYFS to A Level range. Pupils are supported and encouraged by qualified classroom teachers, specialist subject teachers, learning assistants, a nurse, librarians and administrators. Our school welcomes children of all nationalities. The school’s pupil-centered approach helps ensure that each young person is suitably supported in all that s/he does in and out of the classroom.
A wide range of extra-curricular activities is offered after school. Additionally the school is, within limits, a centre for community cultural activities.
Our school follows a typical English Independent School year starting in early September and finishing at the end of June or early July.
